Jung worked as a part-time servant at a café during college time. His early roles were small but then he appeared in Blood (2015) as a vampire’s assistant, showing his talent and charming characters. His turning point came with Reply 1988 (2015-2016). He act as a cameo Duk-seon’s childhood friend. The director Shin Won-ho interested in his role and leading to Prison Playbook.

By 2017, his persistence paid off with While You Were Sleeping, he show the tearful scenes come the “Jung Hae-in crying” meme 🙂

Early Life and Education
Jung Hae-in growth from a well-to-do family. A fun fact about him is his great grand father is Jeong Yak-yong who is a great thinker of the later Joseon period.
Jung initially showed no interest in acting actually. As a teenager, he is really good at science and dreamed of becoming a biotechnologist. He was even entering Pyeongtaek University to study Biotechnology. However, during his first year he encounter some event changed his life.
After watching a school play drama, he switched majors to Broadcasting and Entertainment and then graduating in 2012 with the new passion.

Hae-in completed his mandatory military service from 2007 to 2009. His role was an assistant instructor in the 5th Infantry Division. You can tell he is a discipline and resilience person for sure. His height is around 178 cm with a lean build (around 65 kg). The physical strength with his soft features and warm demeanor make him as a trademark in romantic roles.

Early Career Life
The post-military life so happen when a friend dragged him to an audition during college. At first he is shy (just like his natural character), he then show up in 2013 with a cameo in AOA Black’s music video “Moya,” . Audiences love his boyish charm.
His first acting role came instead come by 2014 with the drama Bride of the Century. At that time he is still playing a minor character alongside Yang Jin-sung. His breakthrough arrived in 2017 with While You Were Sleeping. He played Han Woo-tak, a kind-hearted cop caught in a love triangle with Lee Jong-suk and Bae Suzy. Although it’s a supporting role, his chemistry and emotional depth hit the heart of the fans and slowly build up his followers.
